... Add corn, cheese and pepper to mixture and stir. Spoon into a buttered casserole. I use a heavy 10" earthenware pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. This is fabulous with good sausages grilled on the BBQ and a crisp green salad. It's almost a meal by itself!
Wines to match: A well chilled rosé or a buttery Chardonnay, light, low-tannin reds such as Beaujolais, Burgundy, Loire, Italian Cabernet or Dolcetto, and varietals like Ontario or BC Cabernet Franc, and any Pinot Noir.
